Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) removes chlorine by neutralizing chlorine water. The chemical structure of Vitamin C has the ability to react with the chlorine that is contained in the water, creating non-harmful mild hydrochloric acid, which then provides mild acidic clean water that is ideal for your hair and skin development.
The Vitamin C shower cartridge should be replaced when the gel color inside the cartridge filter becomes colorless & clear. Typically a vitamin C shower cartridge can last up to 45 days (for the handheld model) & 90 days (for the wall mounted model) depending on usage. Please refer to the user’s manual for instructions on how to replace the cartridge filter.
An average shower head streams water up to a maximum height of 0.8 meters while the Aroma Sense shower heads can reach a water pressure stream height of up to 2.5 meters.
The Aroma Sense vitamin C shower head produces negative ions through the Lenard Effect which is created by the triangular spray holes from the shower plate. The effect is created when water molecules are applied to oxygen or carbon dioxide through the friction between a surface of the water and the colliding water, thus generating negative ions along the way. The Aroma Sense vitamin C shower head produces up to 421,000 pcs/cc (equivalent to a waterfall). Negative ions have been scientifically proven to relieve stress, increase blood flow, balance pH, and improve breathing.
The gel inside the cartridge filter is composed of vitamin C, natural lemon oil, distilled water, and dextrin. None of these ingredients are harmful for the human body.

1) Acidity and alkalinity
PH= the unit that indicates the density of acid and alkaline in water. Water becomes acidic with increased oxalic acid, and alkaline with increased hydrogen ions. The measuring unit of acidity and alkalinity is indicated by PH values, e.g., PH 7 is considered neutral. Each numerical increment indicates 10 times more hydrogen ions or oxalic acid. For example, an increase of 1 in a PH table means 10 times more alkalinity. A decrease of 1 means 10 times more acidity.

Reverse osmosis and deionization (DI) perform the same task of removing impurities from tap water. However, DI purifies water utilizing the principle of ion exchange to remove impurities and replaces them with pure water. In most instances, an RO unit serves as a well-rounded filtration method that removes the majority of impurities; coupled with a post deionization filter, the resulting water is 99.9% pure.
The purpose of UV light is for bacterial disinfection. However, on a Water Ionizer this is completely unnecessary for several reasons. If you have city (municipal) water then your water has already been disinfected through the use of chlorine. The carbon filter on the Water Ionizer will remove the chlorine. The UV light itself loses much of its effectiveness after the first six months of use and should be replaced often, which is of course an expensive proposition. Also, the glass tube that the water travels through in order that it can be exposed to the UV light develops a film on it after only a few months, which greatly lessens the effectiveness of the UV light on the water which passes through the tube.
